Welcome to the website of the Emmy-Noether Research Group on Wireless Networks!
This research group has moved from Ulm University to TU Darmstadt in June 2011.
Please find the new hompage(s) here: Cocoon (or click the names below).
You can also still find the group members (and links to their old homepages) in our alumni list.
The independet EN-Group is associated to the Institute of Telecommunications and Applied Information Theory.
The group was established in July 2009
The group is lead by
Currently, the group has the following research members pursuing their PhD
We are a young group and are always searching for self-motivated students with a
strong mathematics background who are interested in pursuing Master's
or
Ph.D. degrees., as well as Postdocs.
As the Emmy-Noether Research Group we are committed to teaching. The following courses have been taught by the group
- MIMO Wireless Communications
- Coding for Wireless Channels
- Introduction to Space-Time Communication
- Topics in Advanced Wireless Communications
- Statistical Signal Processing (Basic Probability Theory, Random Processes, Detection and Estimation Theory)
- Applied Information Theory
- Optimization Theory (will be taught winter 2010)
For students who are interested to join our group we also recommend the following courses
- Signals and Systems
- Indroduction to Communications Engineering
- Channel Coding
- Theory of Digital Networks
- Communcations Engineering
- etc.
The reseach of the Emmy-Noether Group is on information theory,
communication theory and signal processing. In more details, the focus
is on
- Fundamental information theoretic limits for interference/relay channels.
- Multiple antenna systems
- Beamforming strategies
- Cooperative Communications
- Signal Design (Space-Time)
- Receiver design
- Iterative decoding
- Optimization in Signal Processing
- Majorization theory
- Machine learning
- Bio-Information theory
- Information and Communication Theoretic Security
- Game Theory
- Source Coding
- Compressed Sensing
For more details, we refer to the individual websites of the group
members. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to
contact us.
