How to find Ulm and its University |
 |
If you have a world map you should concentrate your view on the latitude 48° 25' 14" North, and longitude 9° 56' 48" East. But it is probably easier to have a first look at the map on the left. The City of Ulm is located in the south of Germany, between Stuttgart and Munich. The University campus is in the north-west of Ulm. This part of the city is called the Eselsberg.

The Way to the University by Car |
Ulm has two junctions with the German autobahn (motorway) network. Ulm is located at the A8, the two junctions are Ulm West and Ulm Ost.
For the University, leave at junction Ulm West, direction Ulm, Kempten. This road is the B10, which you leave at the second junction, direction Universität, Wissenschaftsstadt. After a few hundred meters you reach a junction with traffic lights, where you turn left into the Albert-Einstein-Allee.
If you come from the south on the A7, you leave the autobahn at junction Hittistetten, direction Ulm. This road is the B10, which leads through the city. After passing the city and a tunnel (Ruhetalbergtunnel) leave to the right, direction Universität. After a few hundred meters you reach a junction with traffic lights, where you turn left into the Albert-Einstein-Allee.
Drive along the Albert-Einstein-Allee. After a sharp zig-zag curve you will immediately be amazed by an unusually colourful building in front of you (compare with the picture on our homepage). This is the Universität West where all Electrical Engineering departments are. |
